Happy Thursday! Can we believe Friday eve is finally here? Last week I only worked a 3-day work week and the previous week I was on vacation, I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it to Thursday haha.
I had to break up my travel vlog in 2 sections because I did not realize the amount of footage I got while I was in Maui, and I also did not want to make it too long. Below I will give you an overview of the places shot in the video.!
Where we stayed
Ka’anapali Beach Club Resort – Since this is a timeshare set-up, it was a great place to stay for a week because we had the option of using the kitchen. To be honest we did not cook, but we used the blender to make pina coladas! (What else do you need a kitchen for?) The pool was also a good size and it never got too crowded when we were there which is impressive because it is a busy season during Christmas. The restaurant that is onsite was a good option when you needed something quick or if you did not feel like leaving the resort. My parents own with Diamond Resorts so they used their points to book all of our rooms for this trip. If you were to pay the nightly rate at the Ka’anapali Beach Club, I would not recommend it because the service all around was not very good, and the employees did not seem to care much about the customer.
Where we ate
Star Noodle – If you are a fan of Asian cuisine this would be a place you would want to stop and eat at, but I recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it is a busy restaurant. We had the steamed pork buns as an appetizer, which sounds a bit creepy, but they were delicious. I can’t even explain the taste or the texture, but all you need to know is that they are delicious. If you stop at Star Noodle, the steamed pork buns are for sure a must! For my main meal I ordered the Pad Thai, which was also good, but I have never had a bad Pad Thai before so I figured it was a safe order. Check out their menu here, if you are thinking of dining at Star Noodle.
Leilani’s On The Beach – I mentioned this restaurant in one of my posts earlier this week, but this was my favorite meal in Maui. I felt pretty adventurous this night because I tried the Ahi Poke and the Sashimi that we ordered for the appetizer and they were both delicious! I thought, “when in Rome” why not try fresh raw fish? For my main meal I have the seafood pasta which was so good I could barely stop eating it when I was full. I am pretty sure that the seafood was so fresh is the reason I loved it so much! If you make a stop at Leilani’s when you are in Maui, stop by the bar and get a drink from Dennis (DJ) because his drinks are just divine!
Hyatt Drums of the Pacific Lu’au – Whatever Island you go to in the Hawaiian Island you have to make time to attend a Lu’au. There is so much tasty Hawaiian food served and you learn a lot about the Hawaiian culture. This is my third Lu’au I have been to and I enjoyed it just as much as the first and the second one I attended. Unfortunately we got caught in the rain, but if wasn’t for the rain it would have been the perfect evening.
