Choosing our Wedding Theme

Remember that your wedding day is all about you and your husband to be so do not worry what other people think plan your theme so it reflects off of your personalities. When I got engaged I was so excited to start planning and the theme was the first thing I decided on so I knew where to start looking for the venue. Everything thing that I was pinning and tearing from magazines was focused around a glamorous theme, and I love everything glam, so I knew it was my ideal theme for our wedding. – I just had to chat with Howard about it haha 😉

My advice for choosing your theme is to start looking on Pinterest and create a wedding board (I made mine private so my guests didn’t know what was coming) and pin wedding looks that you like. Also look through some bridal magazine and tear-out the themes/weddings that you like. Once you have a substantial pile of pages and some pictures pinned to your Pinterest board you should start seeing a common theme.

Have a conversation with your fiancé to make sure he is on the same page as you, and if he is, your theme is created! By choosing a theme in the beginning it will help you to keep all the elements of your wedding cohesive, like the flowers, the cake, the invitations, and etc. There are so many options for all things weeding and if you choose a theme that you love it will help narrow the decision making for everything else! 🙂

I hope you found this helpful! If you are a bride or recently married, comment below on how you decided on your wedding theme!

Happy Wednesday!!

Xo, Leah
